Grand Kakinada

The property, located just a short drive away from the city’s business district, was a hospital building to be converted into a hotel. Designers Group was assigned the guest rooms, guest corridor, atrium, and banquets as the scope of work. The interiors are rendered as a fusion of contemporary minimalism with Indian motifs and ornamentation incorporated in soft furnishings and other design elements. Blue is used as the primary colour for the design scheme to reflect the waters of the Bay of Bengal that falls on the coast of Kakinada. Art installations used throughout the hotel exemplify the contemporary-indigenous coalesce as tints and shades become an integral part of the design language.
